Exploring Alaska's Kenai Fjords is a collection of maritime information focused on the remote 800-nautical-mile-long seacoast between Port Bainbridge and Port Chatham. The guidebook includes major places of interest, important vessel anchorages, kayaker campsite areas, natural history, local stories and legends, glacial history, photographs, maps and historical prints.

Exploring the Kenai seacoast and its beaches has been my hobby since I homesteaded in Day Harbor, decades ago. After many seasons of commercial fishing, living, and traveling on the outer coast, my wife Anne and I published the original "A Guide to Alaska's Kenai Fjords" in 1984 (out of print) and the first edition of "Exploring Alaska's Kenai Fjords" in 2004.

This latest edition of "Exploring Alaska's Kenai Fjords" (extending from Port Bainbridge to Port Chatham) includes 43 upgraded maps and 140 photographs along with a raft of pertinent Kenai Peninsula outer coast information. Designed for small boat mariners, sea kayakers and outdoor adventurers. This guide is useful for planning purposes and as a reliable reference while in the fjords.

Recently, after years of getting it together, my wife Anne and I published "Exploring Alaska's Western Prince William Sound" for small boat mariners, sea kayakers, and outdoor adventurers. Similar to the Kenai Fjords guidebook it includes public land information, glacier chronology, history, geology, and 160 maps crammed with information on hundreds of vessel anchorages, campsite areas, beach landing sites. It's also available at Amazon at the link below.
